Merdeka Day

Well.. it's 31/08/06.. Malaysia's celebration of its 49 years of Independence.. not that i'm gonna talk too much bout the celebration itself..coz its basically the same every year.. a nation-wide celebration (by the way, this year, Kuching's the centrepoint for the nationwide Merdeka celebration..*sigh*..cant deny that i'm missing the Merdeka mood :'(..huhu..) this photo somehow captured my interest as i was browsing thru google to look for the Malaysian flag pictures..heheh..usually during the Merdeka month, you can see cars being decorated with various decorations and stickers, etc of the Malaysian Flag..and there's this "Merdeka Sale" going on almost in every shopping mall around malaysia..aiyaa..really2 miss the celebration there.. uwa uwa..!hu2..nvm..next year i'll be there to experience it..and the year after that..and after that..and so forth..~,~! heehhe..anyays, this weekend i'm going to the city with Izan and Fiza for the MalaysianFest.. i went to the same function last year,didnt really enjoy myself that much coz 1: it was sooooo cold and i was wearing quite an unsuitable shirt n was shivering all the time in the city..grr.. 2: the prices of the food at the stalls were quite..expensive..hmm.. 3: it wasnt as much fun as they said it'd be (indah khabar dari rupa..) heheeh there there there..then why am i going this year then? 1: it's my final year here, so might as well just join any events by the MSA (Msian Students Assoc) while i still can..he2.. 2: i havent been to the city for..sooooooooooo long (i wonder if i've been there this year!) hoho.. so it's an opportunity for me to..JALAN2 la..! eheh.. 3: i've got a feeling i'm gonna buy some food..no matter how expensive it is..coz i'm CRAVING for the malaysian food..!argh! hu2.. well.. that's.. 3 vs. 3 points.. so..no more arguments eyh? hehehe..

okeh okeh..enuf story bout the merdeka celebration.. yesterday..eh, no..the day before yesterday (29th August 2006), i shall declare as the day when i found my long-lost friends... hehehe..deh..they've not been lost that long actually.. let's see..that afternoon.. Hani (the one whom i stayed with when i was in Brisbane last autumn (april)) called...we talked roughly around 8 mins..eheh..feels so good to catch up some news with her..it's good to hear that she's doing alrite over there..and we also talked bout how fast time flies (like, last time, we were talking bout..how we're gonna get thru 2 years in Aus..and now we're already talking bout getting together in IPBA (KL) !!) Then that evening, Grace... my long-time best friend from Sarawak.. YM-ed me..hu2..unfortunately i was downstairs watching the Simpsons and having my dinner..by the time i got back to her, she was going to go offline..wa waa..but heck...still,i'm happy to see her online after sooo long of not talking to each other..soo many things to catch up with her (gossips, news..etc).. Then, later that evening..i got to talk and meet my other coursemates (ex-roomate n friends) from Victoria Univ of Wellington (NZ) .. again, it felt so good to meet angah (my ex-roomate 2002-2003)..and our other friends..we havent seen each other for almost two years..:D hehe..!what can i say..such a happening day for my friendship history eyh??

bah bah..what else..hermz hermz hermz..cant quite think of anything for the time being.Izan looked quite down today..i think she's worried bout the assignmentS (ohhhh..must i remind myself that i SHOULD feel the same too..but nooo..i'm still grinning my way..waittt.waiitt..i still have..2 weeks for my first assignment..and one month for the rest.. hherhgherhgherhgh..).. anyways..gonna sign off now..see ya! *wink*
